Firsts So Far

First time in our DoTERRA shirts, ready to work!

First time driving past and going to this beautiful Temple in two years

Our first picture on the beach
 Our first time laying out

First time playing Volleyball after arriving
First time we reached 150,000 miles on any car we have owned
First time on Mt. Soledad - a memorial for veterans
You can seriously see a 360 degree view of San Diego and it's so pretty!!

 First time at Balboa Park

First time seeing tree roots this big,
And a palm tree this tall!
First time being this obsessed with drawing..
ok probably not the first..

After a week of being here we have realized three main things:
1. the people here love to eat and stay healthy which I LOVE!
2. The freeways are curvy and confusing.
3. We are so blessed to work with such an amazing company that let's us travel!
Put in Danny's words, "There is something so beautiful about being able to go anywhere and stay for however long you want. We aren't on anyone else's time and it is so refreshing."

Day One

After driving 11 hours, we finally arrived in SAN DIEGO at 4:30 pm.  There is something about ocean air that is simply amazing!  Danny and I were so excited to start our adventure!

We drove straight to an apartment that we were planning on staying in for the summer but it was pretty trashy.. not our kind of place.  So we drove to McDonald's for their wifi and urgently started searching for a place to stay.  We were stranded.

Miraculously, a lady called that I had contacted earlier and said that someone just bailed on her and she had an extra room! We immediately went over to see the place and it was beautiful and everything fell into place perfectly.

So here we are!

The first night, we unpacked and drove to Danny's aunt's house to have some dinner and say hi to her family.  SUPER nice people! Thank you Maria!!

The next day we got up and went hiking to the beach with some of our favorite people!
We couldn't wait to dive right into that salty water!

We basically call it home already!

San Diego

I have heard over and over and OVER again, " I don't want to get married because I want to travel."  Well folks, I completely and absolutely disagree.  Who better to spend your traveling days with than your very best friend with whom you will spend the rest of your life!

My man and I have always thought that we will prove those people wrong and travel MORE together, than without.  So far, we are definitely headed that way.

Next stop, SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA

Departure date: Monday, May 21, 2013 for approx. 2 months

To share and let others experience

San Diego, HERE WE COME!

A New Beginning

First I just want to say

To my HUSBY for his BS in Public Relations with a minor in Marketing.  YAAYAY!! You have one PROUD wife!

Drinks all around!

Second, for all those who are asking me, "so when are you graduating?"

... Who knows.  Ask me in about 3 years.. maybe by then I will know ;)

It is amazing how life takes us on so many adventures and through so many loop holes to eventually get to where we want to go.  That is, hoping we actually get to where we want to be..

For some, it comes so easy.  They get accepted the first time they apply, their first meal comes out of the oven perfectly, they get their dream job after their first interview, they gain friends within the first 5 minutes of arriving somewhere, they get an A without trying very hard, they are able to live with complete faith, they graduate after 4 years of college, they find the love of their life in the first person they date, etc.

For others, things come a bit more challenging.

I love to see the strengths in people that get them through their own challenges.  Everyone gets through life in such a unique way.

Rainy days and Mondays.

Today is definitely rainy and DEFINITELY a Monday..

I don't feel like doing anything so I made a nice conditioning mask for my hair, attempted to write some lyrics (inspired by Ryan Montbleau Band and my father), and learned a song on the guitar.  Successful day I guess but nothing like actually studying.

Lazy.

While surfing the infamous internet I came across a blog!

You know those people that you see and you just like them without even knowing them?

They usually have a certain vibe about them that just makes you want to be their friend.  I find that a lot of times for me it is because I see a strength of theirs that is a weakness for me, which makes me want to be a little bit more like them.

Well I saw someone like that today.. not really saw her.. but found her blog and yuup, same response.

So I would just like to make a shout out to those who have made my day a little brighter just because you are you.. and probably don't know it because I usually have no idea who you even are.  But THANKS!

Thanks for making this rainy day... not so rainy.

Have you ever just stopped yourself in front of the big window on the bus?  But not looked at who you are, who you are becoming, or even what you are doing with your life.. No, no, nothing deep at all.  Instead, just looked at what you are wearing.

I did that today.

And I had the same reaction as if I did look at who I am, who I am becoming, or what I am doing with my life..

I want a change.

I am definitely one of those girls who have an ideal style that is completely (and I mean completely) different from what I wear.  You may be thinking right now, "wow.. who writes about this??" or maybe, "Who takes this much time to think about things like this??"  Well here I am, writing about something that is probably pointless and might not even be published in Times Magazine, but hey! why not.

I have always thought about how interesting fashion really is.  Who decides what is "in" style or not?  We are all like little ants (according to my husband) who just follow the one in front of us.  Once a style such as colored jeans, stripped shirt and combat boots is in, everyone is all of a sudden wearing the same thing.  Walking through Cafe Rio last night and looking at every female's outfit, I discovered that almost all of them had this exact outfit on.

I, on the other hand, feel like I am still wearing the style from my Junior High (seriously, I still own AND WEAR clothes that I wore in Junior High School.. so yes, I AM still wearing that style).  Pretty sad, right?  Well I decided that I want a new style.. Not something that everyone else wears until it is out of style either.  I want my own style.

So this is now my new project.

My mom took a class on Creating the Void which basically teaches you that if you don't create the hole, you aren't going to fill it.  So in order to create the hole, I am going to go through my closet and bravely get rid of those junior high memories.  That way, I have something to fill and get new clothes!  I have also already told myself that I am not going to buy a new piece of clothing unless my "new wardrobe" would wear it.  Why spend money on a shirt that looks like the one I just threw out?  SO.  I will keep you updated on my endeavors and let you know if "changing your style" is really as easy as my sister, Rachel makes it look.
